Chapter 24: pgs 740-747

Religion is another thing that was affected by globalization. As globalization increased religion became less dominate and some of it ideals are less dominate. Because of issues that arose there was a response known as fundamentalism. Fundamentalism was a religious response. The term was developed because the science that was brought into religion. The American Fundamentalist would fight for religious rights. The Muslims were shocked and appalled by our culture here in the United States. As a result Muslims began to strictly follow their religion. Those in Islam because so dedicated to their religion that they would fight to over throw any power that presented any ideas from the Western world.  “Islamic revolutionaries also took aim at hostile foreign powers.” There has also been other things besides religion that have responded because of globalization.
